By placing an order with Britt’s Baking Company LLC, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. Order Placement & Deposits
- All custom orders require at least 50% non-refundable deposit to secure your date.
- Orders are not confirmed until the deposit is received.
- Final payment is due 2 days before pickup.
- Rush orders placed less than 5 days in advance may be subject to a rush fee.
2. Cancellations & Refunds
- If you need to cancel, please notify us at least 7 days prior to your pickup date for possible credit toward a future order.
- No refunds will be given for cancellations within 7 days of the scheduled pickup.
- If Britt’s Baking Company LLC must cancel due to emergency or unforeseen circumstances, a full refund will be issued.
3. Pickup & Delivery
- Orders must be picked up at the agreed-upon time and location. Late pickups may result in your items being left in a designated area at your own risk.
- We do not currently offer delivery unless otherwise arranged in advance.
4. Allergen Disclaimer
- Our products are made in a home kitchen not inspected by the health department and not allergy-free.
- Items may contain or come into contact with common allergens such as: wheat, dairy, eggs, soy, nuts, and tree nuts (including hazelnuts/Nutella).
- Customer assumes responsibility for informing guests of allergens.
5. Design & Creative License
- While every effort is made to match colors, designs, and themes, we reserve the right to make creative adjustments for best presentation.
- By placing an order, you grant permission for your baked goods to be photographed and used in marketing materials or social media.
6. Weather & Storage
- We are not responsible for damage to items once they leave our possession.
- Please transport items flat and keep them cool. Buttercream can melt if left in hot conditions (like a car).
- Store products according to instructions provided (e.g., refrigeration required).
7. Cottage Food Law Compliance
- Britt’s Baking Company LLC operates under Connecticut’s Cottage Food Law and is a licensed Cottage Food Operator.
- All products are made in a home kitchen and not subject to routine government inspection.
8. Photos Prior to Pickup
- Photos of custom orders will not be sent prior to pickup.
- Final designs are created with care and attention to detail, and part of the experience is seeing your order in person.
- You will receive a photo after pickup for reference or sharing, but previews are not guaranteed.
